• Monitoring: performance against forecasts and targets, proactively identify risks and opportunities, challenge assumptions where needed, and recommend actions to improve outcomes
• Translate complex financial and operational questions into clear analyses, insights, and recommendations for Finance and non-Finance audiences
• Support: strategic planning processes, helping partners evaluate investments, prioritize initiatives, and align decisions with company goals
• Improvement: planning processes, team workflows, and reporting approaches to increase consistency, efficiency, and decision usefulness
• Translating departmental and Finance priorities into clear team plans; managing competing demands by setting expectations, monitoring progress, and addressing risks early

Essential requirements and candidate background

• A strategic thinker with deep analytical capabilities who turns data into better business decisions

• Business partnership experience with senior functional leaders, ideally in R&D or Operations
• Expertise in financial modeling and reporting with advanced Excel proficiency
• Strategic mindset with problem solving and consistent delivery
• Communication and presentation skills
• Influencing and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and levels of the organization

Preferred experience and additional strengths

• Experience: FP&A systems and tools such as Planful or similar platforms is a plus
• Relevant industry exposure in technology, healthcare, and/or consumer marketplaces is a plus
